Waxed the bike chain

Well that took more work than I expected! I wanted to wax the lightly used chain on my new Larkspur, which required some extra cleaning steps compared to prepping a brand new chain. There were several baths in mineral spirits, including an overnight soak. Then, on day two, after more mineral spirits, a final rinse in denatured alcohol. Finally I was ready to wax, but it took the wax so long to melt that I almost missed my chance to finish the job before we went to meet some friends for dinner.

But I got it done, and I rode the waxed chain to work today. It feels completely different!!

Just kidding. It feels the same. But I did touch the chain when I parked my bike and rejoiced at my unsullied finger.
